Hi Rick, We've taken our RV to Baj and also the "mainland" with our dog. I always take our dog's vaccination cert but, coming from Canada, have never had the vet certificate. We've never been asked for anything and the only time we had a question was returning to the States the first time when they asked if the dog was a Canadian! Didn't ask for papers, or her passport! However, according to all the books I've read a vet's certificate is supposedly required and the exam has to be done within 72 hours of entering Mexico. Hope this helps Janet
