Janet - By far the best way now is to buy telephone cards in 25, 50 and 100 peso denominations. Look for the silver Ladatel phones on street corners all over Baja, which have card slots. Ask about the cards in nearby shops. Stay away from the other phones on store walls advertising credit card calls to the U.S. and Canada. They are a huge ripoff. Even most Larga Distancia offices which will place calls for you use these.
